The Systems Engineering department at Eidel brings together two specialist groups: Systems Engineering for products and Space Systems Engineering. While they focus on different application areas, both work with complex systems where technology, customer needs, quality, security, and operational requirements need to come together.
System Engineering
Our Systems Engineers play a central role in the development of critical solutions for defence, space, and critical infrastructure. Working across disciplines, they translate complex customer and operational requirements into robust, secure, high-quality, and well-integrated products and systems.
They collaborate closely with software, hardware, FPGA, test, quality, and project management throughout the development lifecycle. Acting as a technical bridge between disciplines and stakeholders, they help define architectures, manage requirements and interfaces, coordinate technical trade-offs, and ensure that performance, quality, security, and operational needs remain aligned.
Areas of expertise:
Systems Architecture • Requirements Engineering • Concept Development • Systems Integration • Verification & Validation • Technical Risk Management • Solution Design • Interface Management • Lifecycle Engineering • Technical Leadership
Space System Engineering
Our Space Systems Engineers focus on the development of mission concepts, architectures, and solutions for space applications. They work across the mission lifecycle, from early feasibility studies and concept development to mission design, system definition, launch planning, verification, and operational support.
The team works closely with customers, partners, and suppliers to define mission requirements and identify the technologies, platforms, payloads, ground segment solutions, security architectures, and services needed to achieve mission objectives. Their work combines systems thinking with mission analysis and space-specific engineering to balance performance, quality, risk, cost, and schedule.
Areas of expertise:
Space Mission Design • Mission Analysis & Feasibility Studies • Space Systems Engineering • Mission Architecture • Payload & Instrument Concept Development • Satellite Platform Evaluation • Secure Space Communications • Ground Segment Integration • Requirements Engineering • Verification & Validation • Quality & Reliability Engineering • Launch & Operations Planning
