Contract Manager
Ready to shape the future of space and defense through strategic contract management?
EIDEL is an engineering company specializing in electronics, software, and system design for space and defense. Our core expertise lies in remote sensing, remote control, and encryption. As our markets continue to grow rapidly, so does our portfolio of projects and contracts. To support this growth, we are looking for a Contract Manager to join our team and help us realize our ambitions.
About the Role
This is a newly created position at EIDEL, offering a unique opportunity to shape the role and help elevate our approach to contract management to meet evolving business needs. You will not be stepping into a fully established setup—this is a chance to build something new. If you're motivated by responsibility, influence, and the ability to shape your own workday, this role is for you.
As a Contract Manager, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of contracts—from bid phase to execution—ensuring quality, compliance, and value creation. You will work closely with project managers, legal partners, and both customers and suppliers.
With our ambitious goals, this role offers potential for future leadership opportunities within a growing area of expertise in the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for oversight and control of all contracts across the organization.
- Support the bidding and contract formation phases with both customers and suppliers
- Draft and maintain EIDEL’s licenses, terms, and conditions.
- Collaborate with legal partners for contract-related matters.
- Provide daily support in contract follow-up, in close cooperation with project managers.
- Monitor and manage deviations from contractual obligations—both from suppliers and customers.
- Drive efficiency and improvements in contract processes.
Desired Background
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in contract work.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, Law, or other relevant fields. Relevant experience combined with a Bachelor’s degree may compensate for the lack of a Master’s degree.
- Proven experience in contract management, including large and complex contracts.
- Legal experience is a plus, but not a requirement.
- Familiarity with the Norwegian Government’s standard contracts is an advantage.
- Technical understanding and/or experience in the space or defense sector is beneficial.
- Fluent in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
- Must be eligible for security clearance up to HEMMELIG / NATO SECRET.
Personal Qualities
- Skilled negotiator with the confidence to challenge when needed.
- Clear and effective communicator who can convey complex information with ease.
- Self-motivated and proactive, while also being a strong team player across all levels of the organization.
- Good interpersonal skills with a keen ability to read people and build strong relationships.
- Highly detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and precision.
- Embodies EIDEL’s core values of Empowerment, Synergy, and Curiosity.

We believe that EIDEL is a great place to work and aim to give our employees the freedom they need to develop and be innovative. Some positive aspects of working here include:
- A chance to shape a new role and area of expertise within a growing company.
- Being part of exciting projects—getting products into space, on the Moon, and maybe even Mars.
